BREX Corp. was transformed from a logging business into a construction business in 1971 under the ownership of the late Ralph D. Brown. At that time, Ralph D. Brown & Sons, Inc. focused on site-work for residential homes throughout York County. The business was founded on the principles of honesty, integrity, hard work, and attention to detail.

At present, BREX Corp. is owned by Mark D. Brown, third generation of Ralph D. Brown. BREX Corp. has broadened its markets to include road building and reconstruction, subdivisions, utilities, commercial and industrial site-work as well as contaminated soil remediation. BREX Corp's geographical area has expanded to include projects from Nashua, New Hampshire to Waldoboro, Maine. We have successfully completed contracts of as little as a few thousand dollars to contracts of over $6 million. Our clients include state and local municipalities, general contractors, local and national businesses, developers and homeowners.

BREX Corp's Workers Compensation Insurance Experience Modification Factor is 0.68 and falling, which is a direct result of our commitment to safety training, promoting a safe work environment, and the employment of smart, experienced people. Most of our employees are OSHA 10 Certified and many have completed the OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training.

BREX Corp. has had a bonding program in place since 1999 to allow us to provide 100% Payment & 100% Performance Bonds to our clients, if required. This is a direct measurement of BREX’s healthy financial position and our ability to understand the work at hand and perform the duties of a contract. This gives our clients confidence that they are working with a company that has the knowledge, resources and financial capability to see their project through to completion and beyond.

We utilize the latest technology in computer software to quantify, estimate, track and schedule construction projects. On a daily basis, actual man hours and equipment usage flow electronically from our foreman’s iPads at the jobsite directly into our accounting software, where it automatically updates the payroll and job costing modules. It also flows directly into our estimating software where it updates actual production data. This greatly reduces our administrative needs for such things as processing payroll. It also gives us real time and historical production data in our estimating system to assist us as we price out future work. This all equates to low administrative costs and high accuracy as we estimate the price of construction projects.  

We build electronic 3D models of our projects in-house utilizing the engineers design files. The 3D models are utilized with our robotic total stations, GPS rovers, and GPS automated equipment to accurately, and efficiently build construction projects.
